Phrase of the Day: You Can Do it!
What an awesome 1st week the Greenville Goal Getters had.
On Monday and Wednesday, assessments were done on the kids which included: Weight, 1/2 mile time, pushups (how many they could do) and planks for time (holding form without breaking it)
Friday we went to the Y where Diana did the opening and introduced the staff. Next we did warmup/stretches as a group then they were divided into 3 teams by colors.
Station 1: was lead by Unger where kids worked with ropes
Station 2: was lead by Hathaway where they did wall touches, jumping jacks, etc...
Station 3: was lead by Borgerding where they did situps with ropes, pushups, and planks
A frequent total DANCE PARTY break was called, stop and dance followed by specific instructions for a dance move.
Diana called the group together to talk to them about nutrition, personal experiences with food and the impact of kids on the nutrition of their house.
Hathaway lead the group cool down stretch and the closing.
