Phrase of the Day:  Keep Your Head Up!!!!!!

Week 2 of the Greenville Goal Getters:
5th Grade and the Jr. High were on Monday:
Diana started the kids out with a warm-up and a stretch:
We ended up just having one big group instead of splitting them up in 3 groups.  It was set up more like relays but without competition.  The biggest thing we try to encourage is team-work and doing the exercises properly.
They did the Bear Crawls, Frog Jumps, Duck Walk and Donkey Kicks.  It was so amazing to see all the support from the kids encouraging one another and them trying to do their best.
Cool down was done by Diana.

6th Grade and the Jr. High on Wednesday:
Danesa and Nicole started them out with a warm-up and stretch and then took them outside for the workout:
We had 3 stations:  Station 1: Height- Mary was in charge of getting heights
Station 2: Mr. Mortensen was in charge, where they did basketball dribbling, 1 hand for 1 min, then switched with their partner and they also did squats and sit-ups.
Station 3: Danesa was in charge, we did partner planks 45 seconds, then break for 30 secs, the 45 seconds.   We also did pushups, where Mr. Gehret started the kids out and counted for them.  They all started out by doing  7 then we increased by 1 each time.

Friday Fun Day was lead by Nick:
Nick had the kids run outside.  We started at the back door and Nick went down the hill and stood and had the kids run 4 laps around him.  Every time the kids were going around him he was telling them how awesome they were, good job, keep it up, just really meant a lot to the kids.   We then went inside where he had 3 stations set up.  Station 1: Ropes   Station 2: Push-ups, Kettle Bells      Station 3: Sit-ups with ropes            Ending the session with a game of Doge Ball which I think all of the kids enjoyed very much.
